Since it's inception in mid-2010, basic_sounds has been steadily developing into a top quality music label. Recently pretty much every release deserves your attention, from Textural Being's Paix to Erich Schall's Direction. The latest release though, by Chord, is one to really cherish.

Year as a Ghost by Chord is an extended EP of gorgeous, piano-led house music. Encompassing a range of elements across the seven tracks, from dub to minimal to ambient, the balance of melody, textures and vocals hits the mark.
