Smooth internal links

Rakesh wrote about T he Usability Of Internal Links and pointed to a useful technique on display at Intrepidity Weblog where internal links (or anchor links) are dealt with very nicely. Instead of jumping to another part of the page, some nifty Javascript smoothly scrolls the user to the internal link... lovely!
