Preparing for Widescreen
28th Mar 2006
This article is a far cry from the days when I wrote this. Heh! How times change.
Anyway, the article shows us how to implement the type of fancy content and page structure that Colly currently uses. So, if you have a wide screen / high screen resolution, you get to see the extra gubbins on the right rather than near the bottom of the page.
What doesn't work with this technique though is the fact that anyone with a small-screen device is at a disadvantage; they won't see this 'extra' content until way down at the bottom of the page. Which begs the question: is this content important or superfluous?
