Smokey and the Bandit

As I was growing up there was always certain films that I watched regularly like, The Sound of Music, Grease, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Wizard of Oz and so on. Smokey and the Bandit was another. I used to really enjoy all the car chases and crashes. It's on BBC 1 tonight!Sidenote: after video recorders first made an appearance in the very early eighties, our family used to rent a lot of films. One day my wee brother and I went to the rental shop and asked for a film with lots of car chases and crashes like Smokey and the Bandit; the guy in the shop recommended The Fog! We were pretty disappointed when there was no car chases. What was he thinking about?
