Keep technology simple

Interesting post at 37 Signals about mobile telephones and in particular a new mobile telephone called The Jitterbug (by a company called GreatCall) that is quite unique compared to many mobile phones these days in that it's so simple it's basically just a telephone! And when I think about the hassles I had recently when trying to find a new mobile phone that combined just a phone and a mobile browser (for checking websites) I can understand where GreatCall are coming from.

In the future we'll be able to go into a shop and tell the assistant what we'd like on our phone and they will program it there befroe our eyes. Now that really would be cool.
